| To earn it | No minimum spend | No minimum spend |
| Est. first-year value* | $398 | $387 |
| Est. ongoing value / yr* | $398 | $387 |
The Capital One QuicksilverOne wins on both fronts: it comes out ahead in year one on the welcome offer and stays ahead every year after. Short term or long, it is the stronger pick on the numbers.
*First-year value counts the welcome bonus, estimated rewards, and annual credits, minus the annual fee; ongoing value is a typical year after. Every point at a flat 1 cent.
Perks, credits, and redemptions
| Perks | Capital One QuicksilverOne | Costco Anywhere Visa® |
|---|---|---|
| Lounge access | None | None |
| Annual credits | None | None |
| Points & redemptions | Transferable (paired with a premium card) | Cash back only |
On perks and redemptions, the Capital One QuicksilverOne earns transferable points with a higher redemption ceiling, while the other is capped nearer a flat cent. Weigh those against the fee, since credits and lounge access only count if you will actually use them.
Transfer partners and point value
Only the Capital One QuicksilverOne earns transferable points. Its Capital One miles move to Air Canada, Avianca LifeMiles, Turkish, British Airways, and Emirates, where a point can be worth several cents on a premium-cabin redemption, far above its cash value. The Costco Anywhere Visa® pays flat cash back, worth about a cent, so its ceiling is nearer a penny per point no matter how you redeem.
These target different situations: the Quicksilver One is a fair-credit card for building or rebuilding, the Costco card is a rewards card for established-credit Costco members.
The Quicksilver One earns a simple 1.5% and helps you graduate to better cards. The Costco card earns far more in gas and dining, but needs good credit and a Costco membership. Approval-friendly flat cash vs Costco-member rewards.

The verdict
If you’re building or rebuilding credit, the Quicksilver One is the relevant card, the Costco card likely isn’t within reach yet, and the Quicksilver One earns a real 1.5% while establishing the history you’ll need. Once your score climbs, you can upgrade.
If your credit is good and you shop at Costco, the Costco Anywhere Visa is far more rewarding, elite gas cash, 3% dining and travel, and it doubles as your membership card for little more than the Quicksilver One’s fee. They’re not competing for the same person: one rebuilds credit, the other rewards established Costco members.
