On perks and redemptions, only the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve gets you into airport lounges. Weigh those against the fee, since credits and lounge access only count if you will actually use them.
Transfer partners and point value
Neither card earns transferable points, so redemptions are cash-back or fixed portal value on both, roughly a cent per point. There is no airline or hotel transfer angle to separate them.
These aren’t alternatives so much as an airline splurge vs a free hotel card, the decision is which travel you do and how much you’ll pay for perks.

The verdict
If you fly Delta often and would use Sky Clubs, the Reserve can pay off, the companion certificate and lounge access can outrun the $650 for a road-warrior, but it’s a poor fit if you fly Delta only occasionally.
If you want hotel rewards with zero cost, the Hilton Honors is a no-brainer to hold, 5x on everyday categories, big Hilton earning, and free Silver status, all for nothing. They’re not really comparable: one is a premium airline card for Delta loyalists, the other a free hotel card. Choose by whether you’re paying for Delta lounges or banking free Hilton points, and many travelers keep a free card like the Honors regardless.
