Where it is and how to get in
The Capital One Lounge Dulles sits in Main Terminal, just past the PreCheck checkpoint at Washington Dulles (IAD), open 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.. You get in free as a Venture X or Venture X Business cardholder. Venture and VentureOne cardholders receive a set number of complimentary visits each year, then pay per visit, and anyone can buy a day pass. Guests are not complimentary unless you spend $75,000 in a calendar year, which unlocks two free guests at Capital One Lounges and one at Landings.
The space and amenities
At roughly 8,500 sq ft, a convenient, centrally located lounge in the main terminal, so you can settle in before heading out to Dulles’ midfield concourses. Notable features include relaxation rooms, a grab-and-go station, and luggage lockers for hands-free lounging.
Food and drinks
The kitchen serves the same restaurant-quality dining and coffee-bar setup as the flagships, a real step up from most contract lounges in the D.C. area.
The verdict
Because it sits in the main terminal rather than out on a concourse, this lounge is easy to reach and a smart pre-flight base at Dulles, where good food options can be thin. Just remember Dulles uses people-movers to the midfield gates, so leave time to reach your gate after you relax.
