Which Credit Card Points Transfer to Each Hotel Program
The hotel transfer map
Transferable points only move to the partners their bank has signed, so the card you carry decides which hotel programs you can reach. World of Hyatt and IHG One Rewards take transfers from Chase Ultimate Rewards and Bilt at 1:1. Marriott Bonvoy adds American Express to that list, so Amex, Chase, and Bilt all reach it at 1:1. Hilton Honors takes Amex at 1:2 and Bilt at 1:1. Wyndham and Choice are fed by Capital One, Citi, and Wells Fargo, with Wyndham also taking Bilt.
Bilt is the universal key
One currency stands out: Bilt Rewards transfers 1:1 to Hyatt, Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and Wyndham, five of the six major programs, more hotel reach than any other bank. If you want a single flexible balance that can point at almost any chain, Bilt is it, and it earns on rent with no annual fee on the entry card. The one gap is Choice, which Bilt does not feed; for Choice, look to Amex, Capital One, Citi, or Wells Fargo. See transferable points.
Pick the card that feeds your program
Match the wallet to the chains you use. For Hyatt or IHG, a Chase card like the Sapphire Preferred or the Bilt card is the route. For Marriott or Hilton, an Amex like the Gold or Platinum works, with Bilt as a backup. For Wyndham and Choice, a Capital One Venture X, Citi Strata Premier, or Wells Fargo Autograph Journey opens the cheapest budget redemptions.
