Our review
The IHG One Rewards Business Credit Card is Chase's relaunched IHG business card, and it is a bigger, pricier product than the old Premier Business. The fee is now $200, and in return you get 5x points on travel, gas, dining, and select advertising, 3x on everything else, up to 26x total at IHG hotels, Platinum Elite status, and an annual free night worth up to 40,000 points.
The free night does a lot of the work. Used at a good property, it covers a large part of the fee, and businesses that spend $60,000 a year earn a second one. The points are locked to IHG, though, so the card only makes sense for a business that actually stays in IHG hotels.
Think twice if: your business does not stay at IHG, since the points, the free night, and the status only pay off for IHG guests.
Our 7.6 out of 10 rating
Each score weighs the rewards rate, value after the annual fee, welcome offer, points flexibility, and perks, with every point valued at a flat 1 cent. This is our editorial assessment to help you compare cards, not a guarantee of approval or of the value you will get.

Rewards: how it earns
You earn 5x IHG points on travel, gas, dining, and select advertising, 3x on everything else, and up to 26x total when you stay at IHG Hotels and Resorts. IHG points are worth less than a cent each in most redemptions, so I value them conservatively, but 3x on all other spending is a high base rate for a hotel card. Add Platinum Elite status and a Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, or NEXUS credit and it is a well-rounded package for an IHG-loyal business.
| Category | Rate | Notes |

| Advertising | 5% back | Bonus category |

Best ways to earn & redeem
Put your travel, gas, and dining spending on this card to earn at its highest rates, and let a different card handle the categories it does not bonus. Its travel rate is among the stronger ones you will find in that category.
When you cash in, redeem the miles or points inside the single loyalty program this card is tied to. We value every point at a flat 1 cent, so treat any transfer upside as a bonus rather than the baseline — see what your points are really worth.
Pros and cons
- Huge 190,000-point launch offer
- 5x on travel, gas, dining, and select advertising; 3x on everything else
- Annual free night worth up to 40,000 points
- Platinum Elite status and a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit
- $200 annual fee
- Points locked to IHG and worth less than a cent each
- Little value if your business does not stay at IHG
The welcome bonus
The launch offer is 190,000 IHG points after $5,000 in purchases in the first 3 months. That is one of the largest hotel card bonuses around and easily the main reason to open the card in year one.
Is it worth the annual fee?
The $200 annual fee is real money, and the annual free night (up to 40,000 points) is what offsets most of it. If you redeem that night at a property that would cost $200 or more, and use the Platinum status, the card pays for itself. If you would not use the free night, the fee is hard to justify on earning alone.
First-year value vs ongoing value
| Welcome bonus | 190,000 points |
| To earn it | $5,000 in 3 months |
| Est. first-year value* | $3,422 |
| Est. ongoing value / yr* | $1,522 |
The welcome bonus makes year one the high point: roughly $3,422 in value once you count the bonus, this card’s rewards, and its credits, minus the $200 fee. After that, the honest figure is about $1,522 a year, so judge whether it earns its keep on the ongoing number, not the first-year headline.
*First-year value counts the welcome bonus, estimated rewards, and annual credits, minus the annual fee; ongoing value is a typical year after. Every point at a flat 1 cent, on average spending.
Benefits and protections
Beyond the rewards, the perks and protections worth knowing about include:
- Up to 26x points at IHG hotels
- Annual free night (up to 40,000 points), plus a second free night after $60,000 in annual spend
- Complimentary IHG Platinum Elite status
- Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, or NEXUS fee credit
Statement credits
This card does not come with recurring statement credits. Its value is in the rewards rate and welcome offer.
Who should get it, and who should skip it
If your business stays at IHG regularly, this card is worth it: the free night covers most of the fee, Platinum status improves every stay, and 3x on all other spending keeps the points coming.
If IHG is not part of your travel, skip it. The points and perks are locked to IHG, and a flexible business card like the Ink Business Preferred will serve you better.
