Orlando is unusual: it has a huge supply of mid-range and budget hotels near Disney and Universal, which is exactly where the often-overlooked programs Wyndham and Choice pay off. The flat Wyndham rate of 7,500, 15,000, or 30,000 points a night, and the low Choice award costs, can book a family-friendly Orlando stay for a tiny points total compared with the big luxury chains.
The cards and transfer partners to use
Wyndham and Choice are reached by a different set of cards than the premium chains. Wyndham takes transfers from Capital One and Citi at 1:1, Bilt at 1:1, and Wells Fargo at an excellent 1:2.
