Our review

The Key Rewards Visa covers the whole Williams-Sonoma family: Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and Teen, West Elm, Rejuvenation, and Mark & Graham. It earns 5% back at those brands (10% for your first 30 days), 4% at grocery stores, restaurants, and food delivery, and 1% everywhere else, with no annual fee.

Four percent on groceries and dining is excellent, and it all flows into rewards you can spend across eight home brands. It is the same card whether it says Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, or West Elm on the front.

Best for: people who furnish and cook with Williams-Sonoma brands and want groceries and dining to earn toward the next purchase.
Think twice if: you seldom buy from Williams-Sonoma's brands, since Key Rewards only redeem there.

The fine print on rates: Rewards are Key Rewards points that redeem across the Williams-Sonoma family of brands, not cash. The same card is issued as the Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, or West Elm Key Rewards Visa with identical rewards. Grocery purchases at warehouse clubs, superstores, and discount stores earn 1%.

Every point and mile above is valued at a flat 1 cent, the same honest standard we use for every card. Run your own spending through the calculator to see what this card would actually return for you.

Best ways to earn & redeem

Put your dining and groceries spending on this card to earn at its highest rates, and let a different card handle the categories it does not bonus. Its dining rate is among the stronger ones you will find in that category.

When you cash in, take the rewards as cash back or a statement credit, worth a flat 1 cent each. We value every point at a flat 1 cent, so treat any transfer upside as a bonus rather than the baseline — see what your points are really worth.
