Our review
The H-D Visa Signature Card earns 3 points per dollar at Harley-Davidson and at gas stations, 2 points at restaurants, bars, hotels, and lodging, and 1 point everywhere else, with no annual fee. Points are worth a penny each, but only toward Harley-Davidson purchases.
For riders, that is a sensible match: gas, road trips, and the dealership all earn bonus points, and H.O.G. members even earn a point per mile ridden. If you do not ride a Harley, the points have nowhere to go.
Think twice if: you do not ride or shop at Harley-Davidson, since the points only redeem there.
Our 4.6 out of 10 rating
Each score weighs the rewards rate, value after the annual fee, welcome offer, points flexibility, and perks, with every point valued at a flat 1 cent. This is our editorial assessment to help you compare cards, not a guarantee of approval or of the value you will get.

Rewards: how it earns
You earn 3 points per dollar at Harley-Davidson and gas stations, 2 points at restaurants, bars, hotels, and other lodging, and 1 point everywhere else. H.O.G. members also earn 1 point per mile ridden once they activate the benefit. Every 2,500 points becomes $25 at H-D, so points are worth 1 cent, but only for Harley-Davidson purchases.
| Category | Rate | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Gas | 3x | Bonus category |
| Dining and restaurants | 2x | Bonus category |
| Hotels | 2x | Bonus category |
| Groceries | 1x | Base rate |
| Travel | 1x | Base rate |
| Streaming | 1x | Base rate |
| Everything else | 1x | Everything else |
The fine print on rates: Every 2,500 points becomes $25 to spend at Harley-Davidson, so a point is worth 1 cent but only at H-D dealers and H-D.com. Points do not convert to cash.
Every point and mile above is valued at a flat 1 cent, the same honest standard we use for every card. Run your own spending through the calculator to see what this card would actually return for you.
Best ways to earn & redeem
Put your gas, dining, and hotels spending on this card to earn at its highest rates, and let a different card handle the categories it does not bonus.
When you cash in, take the rewards as cash back or a statement credit, worth a flat 1 cent each. We value every point at a flat 1 cent, so treat any transfer upside as a bonus rather than the baseline — see what your points are really worth.
Pros and cons
- 3x at Harley-Davidson and gas stations
- 2x at restaurants and hotels
- $100 at H-D welcome offer
- No annual fee
- Points only redeem at Harley-Davidson
- Only 1x on everything else
- Little value if you do not ride
The welcome bonus
New cardholders get $100 at H-D after spending $500 in the first 90 days. That is an easy bar and a nice credit toward gear or service.
First-year value vs ongoing value
| Welcome bonus | $100 at H-D |
| To earn it | $500 in the first 90 days |
| Est. first-year value* | $465 |
| Est. ongoing value / yr* | $365 |
The welcome bonus makes year one the high point: roughly $465 in value once you count the bonus, this card’s rewards, and its credits, minus the no fee. After that, the honest figure is about $365 a year, so judge whether it earns its keep on the ongoing number, not the first-year headline.
*First-year value counts the welcome bonus, estimated rewards, and annual credits, minus the annual fee; ongoing value is a typical year after. Every point at a flat 1 cent, on average spending.
Benefits and protections
Beyond the rewards, the perks and protections worth knowing about include:
- 3 points per $1 at Harley-Davidson and at gas stations
- 2 points per $1 at restaurants, bars, hotels, and other lodging
- 1 point per $1 everywhere else
- H.O.G. members earn 1 point per mile ridden
Statement credits
This card does not come with recurring statement credits. Its value is in the rewards rate and welcome offer.
Who should get it, and who should skip it
Get the H-D Visa if you ride a Harley and regularly spend at the dealership. Gas and road-trip spending turning into H-D credit is a good fit.
If you want more, the H.O.G. Elite Visa earns 5x at H-D and gas for a fee covered by its credits. Non-riders should skip both.
